MERCENARY BATTLEGROUNDS – TERMS OF SERVICE (ToS)
Version 1.0 — Effective as of November 23, 2025
BY PURCHASING, DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING THE GAME "MERCENARY BATTLEGROUNDS" (THE "GAME"), YOU ("USER" OR "YOU") AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE. YOU ALSO AGREE TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT PURCHASE, DOWNLOAD, OR USE THE GAME.
1. General Provisions
1.1. Mercenary Battlegrounds is a paid video game available for a one-time purchase on the Steam platform ("Steam").
1.2. The Game does not require a recurring subscription fee and does not feature mandatory microtransactions to access core gameplay.
1.3. All future downloadable content ("DLC") shall be strictly optional. Such DLC will be limited to cosmetic items or additional content and will not provide any competitive advantage, adhering to a strict non-pay-to-win principle.
2. Optional Blockchain Features
2.1. Mercenary Battlegrounds is a traditional multiplayer game distributed via Steam. The entirety of the gameplay experience, including all progression, rewards, weapons, skins, ranks, and achievements, is fully accessible within Steam WITHOUT ANY requirement to interact with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, or external digital wallets.
2.2. Blockchain functionality, specifically the MBGR token and the game.mbgr NFT collection on the WAX blockchain, is entirely optional and can be activated at the User's discretion.
2.3. Users can play the Game indefinitely without connecting a WAX wallet and will have a complete and identical gameplay experience to all other players.
2.4. This separation ensures compliance with Steam platform rules.
3. Account and Acceptance of Terms
3.1. Access to the Game is granted through a valid Steam account after a one-time purchase.
3.2. By accepting these Terms, you confirm you are at least 18 years old or have legal parental/guardian consent.
3.3. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account.
4. Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC)
4.1. The Game integrates Easy Anti-Cheat ("EAC") by Epic Games.
4.2. By launching the Game, you agree to EAC's Terms of Service: https://legal.epicgames.com/en-US/epicgames/tos.
4.3. EAC may scan your computer's memory/processes and issue global bans.
4.4. Bypassing or interfering with EAC results in permanent termination of access.
5. License and Ownership
5.1. Saltant Studio LLC grants a limited personal-use license.
5.2. All code, art, audio, story, and design remain the Studio's intellectual property.
5.3. Steam Inventory items are licensed and may be modified or removed under Steam policy.
5.4 Blockchain Assets:
- a) Claimed NFTs/tokens on WAX are your digital property.
- b) Visual/artistic IP remains property of the Studio.
- c) Commercial use outside the Game requires written permission.
6. Prohibited Conduct
ANY VIOLATION RESULTS IN PERMANENT LOSS OF GAME ACCESS.
THE STUDIO MAY BLACKLIST/BURN ALL MBGR TOKENS OR GAME.MBGR NFTS ASSOCIATED WITH VIOLATION, EVEN IF TRANSFERRED.
6.1. Cheating or automation tools.
6.2. Exploits, hacking, DDoS, unauthorized access.
6.3. Multi-accounting for farming or competitive advantage.
6.4. AFK farming.
6.5. Fraud, scamming, phishing.
6.6. Selling, buying, or transferring Steam accounts.
6.7. Illegal activity, including money laundering.
All decisions made by the Studio are final.
7. No Financial Advice or Guarantees
- a) MBGR tokens/NFTs are not investments or financial instruments.
- b) They may lose value at any time.
- c) No guarantee of liquidity or market value.
7.2. You engage with blockchain features at your own risk.
8. Service Termination
8.1. The Studio may discontinue servers or blockchain features anytime.
8.2. In a shutdown, 30 days' notice will be attempted when feasible.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
9.1. Governed by laws of the Russian Federation.
9.2. Disputes resolved in courts at the legal address of Saltant Studio LLC.
